READY
TO CARE

FOR LIFE IN GERMANY
With my READY TO CARE concept, I personally connect and guide nurses from Kerala in India to hospital partners in Germany who are committed to responsible and long-term recruitment. With a deep understanding of both cultures and everyday nursing practice, I prepare nurses to be ready in language, profession and culture.
– for nursing and life in Germany, far beyond a language certificate.

COMMUNICATION READY
Through native - speaker training that builds real speaking confidence – at the bedside, within the team, and in everyday life.

PROFESSIONALLY READY
Nursing communication from day one – from admission to ward rounds.

CULTURALLY READY
Integration begins with understanding – of body language, team dynamics, and the German work culture.
NURSES - HOLISTICALLY PREPARED.
IN LANGUAGE, PROFESSION & CULTURE: THE READY TO CARE CONCEPT
Language certificates alone don’t prepare you for everyday nursing in Germany. That's why our preparation begins in India, personally guided by native German teachers. Because anyone who truly wants to arrive and belong in German healthcare needs preparation that is authentic, practical, and real.
READY TO CARE is built on three pillars that we run through individually with every nurse.

DISCOVER HOW READY TO CARE CONNECTS HOSPITALS AND NURSES.
TWO PERSPECTIVES, ONE GOAL: READY TO CARE
I’m Anila Thekkan – born in Germany, the daughter of a nurse from Kerala who had the courage to build a new life here over 50 years ago.
Her remarkable career – from trainee to head nurse – showed how vital language, understanding, and a helping hand are for true integration and success in nursing.
Today, I use my language and cultural expertise, my network in both countries, and my leadership experience in an international environment to prepare nurses for their journey to Germany – ready to communicate, ready to care, ready to belong.
My goal: to strengthen all nurses in Germany – with new, skilled colleagues by their side.

Empowering all nurses in Germany - that's what drives me
This concerns all of us.
Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system
From the very first hour of our lives to the last moment – it’s nurses who are there:
Caring, comforting, giving courage.
Not for applause or profit, but out of conviction.
Yet those who give so much also need support.
Nurses deserve recognition. Visibility. And real backing.
So that nurses are READY TO CARE. And stay ready.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
OUR READY ICON
From her story my mission grew:
to empower nursing professionals – through integration that truly lasts.

From India to Germany
As early as the 1970s, Germany began recruiting nurses from abroad – and my mother was among the first to answer that call. In 1974, she came from Kerala to Germany – without knowing what to expect, but with great courage and the determination to find her own path. She started as a trainee nurse, learned German from scratch, and faced each new day with discipline, openness, and resilience.
Over time, she became a respected colleague – and eventually the head nurse of a German hospital ward. Because my mother walked this path alone, I know how important true guidance is. That’s why READY TO CARE doesn’t begin in Germany – it begins in India.
Personally. Bilingually. With connection at its heart.

Working in Nursing
For many decades, my mother worked in German hospitals – with dedication, discipline, and a big heart. She cared for patients, supported colleagues, built friendships – and showed what nursing truly means: taking responsibility, being present, and showing empathy.
But to provide this level of care, motivation alone is not enough – it also requires professional competence and clear communication. And both are only possible when you have real command of the language – in everyday life and within the team, in German and in the language of care.
That’s why READY TO CARE starts early – with German and nursing-specific language training.

Integration and Life
Her story shows that integration is never a one-way street. My mother integrated herself – with initiative, patience, and openness.
But just as important were the people around her: German colleagues, neighbours, and friends who met her with openness, respect, and on equal terms.
Integration succeeds when both sides reach out to one another – when you understand the unspoken rules, can read body language, find your place within a team, and feel at home beyond work.
This is exactly where READY TO CARE begins:
We prepare nursing professionals not only for their profession, but also for life in Germany – with genuine cultural understanding, practical mentoring, and personal guidance.
